The trouble with java

can anyone tell me how to determine if the java on my machine is 32 bit or 64 bit? it's definitely failing the applet test, and am trying to determine why.

Your Java configuration is as follows: Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Version: Java 6 Update 18 Operating System: Windows 7 6.1 Architecture: x86 (32-bit) I haven't heard they had 64-bit yet. Since I don't use 64-bit browser on 64-bit 7U.

thanks for the tips...turns out the jre1.6.0_19 i first downloaded was 64 bit. once i downloaded the 32 bit version i was up and running...
