  1. robbycase Newcomer, in training

    Hi everyone this is my first post. I am trying to help my father in law, he has a Gateway model GT5242E. When you power it up the fan runs but that’s it, no post and no beep code, no boot. The system is only 1 year and 3 month old and has had 2 motherboards and 1 cpu replaced by Gateway. The problem is still here and Gateway will not honor the warranty. So you guessed it it's now my problem. I’m the one who suggested Gateway. Here are some specs on the system. Any help would be appreciated, Thank You

    AMD Athlon 64 4000+
    1 Gb of DDR memory
    160 GB HD
    cpu SKU # 4501322R
    Motherboard SKU# 4006105R

    Try a known working PSU in the system. If that fails, try replacing the RAM.
