To dual boot

    hi was just wondering im think of installing win 7 ok now i have windows vista home premium do i need to shink the size of my hard disk ,where vista is running in order to make room for win 7 and for the dual boot to work or can i install it on one of my hard drives that is formatted will it still dual boot,

    In order to dual boot, you need TWO different partitions, they can be from a single physical harddrive, windows 7 should have around 5 gb, excluding your own files.
    What is your harddrive status right now?
    Have you looked at Microsoft's upgrade paths? You should be eligible for a w7 upgrade.

    Oh and you missed a period or two, maybe more.
