    i love the original half life, i guess it's a simple difference in our respective choices in gaming. with all the stuff out there today, there's something for just about everyone.

    another game i really dug was the 1994 release of wing commander armada, does/has anyone played that?

    Yep - and I liked it! I also loved all the other Wing Commander games back then - I thought FMV was awesome. LOL - BTW, I also loved Mechwarrior I (but I guess we're not exactly talking about oldschool here.)

    Of course - been an id fan since then - and before. Was a bit of a Commander Keen fan too.

    call of duty with united offensive and part 2 this fall with hundreds of custom maps out allready .. This game rules for WWII type games . This IS the game all other WW II games well be Judge by. so far no takers.

    bf1942, i think, comes out on top in multiplayer action. singleplayer, cod is clearly superior.

    i love your name Zephead but i dont agree even in multi COD beats it . the numbers of player online tells the rest .. i gave away my BF1942 shortly after getting COD the only thing 1942 have is you can fly a fighter plane and able to use a joystick "i have one" but it was not enough for me to keep it.
