Top 5 Worst CPUs: Let's Have a Little Fun

Of course you don't understand the importance of single-tread performance...

Uh-huh.... So I am wasting my time overclocking a 7700K to 5.0 Ghz with vcore of 1.35v on air with a cheap Artic Freezer i32. See:

Aren't you being a little presumptuous?

Yes, really. Seems like no matter what Techspot does for fun, there's always one wet blanket in the crowd who seems to fantasize that (s)he is the writer's editor and proceeds to tell said writer what he "should have done", instead of enjoying it for what it is.

Wow just wow. God forbids a person having an suggestion/opinion on public forums.

I work for the State of NY (ITS) now but from 2009-2016 I worked at a Hospital and when I first started, the place was loaded with cheap Dell Optiplex 170L's using this fantastic piece of technology:

1 Core. 1 Thread. 1 Ticket to damnation.
At the time Core2Duo's were affordable and even Pentium 4's/D's would have been an upgrade but they wanted to buy super cheap workstations...within a few years I changed all that but for those first couple of years, god damn.

No, please, not the Pentium D. During spring/summer I had to set the Fanspeed manually to 100%, the boxed one, and even then, it would eventually shut down getting to hot. I got rid of it as soon as possible.

Interesting reading this threads gentlemen, lucky I grabbed my popcorn hehehe
Good stuff :D

I bought fx-9590 for 100€ 1,5 years ago. Using with Noctua NH-D15 cooler. I'm not regret at all for that price
Just got one for a measly $50. Paired it with the same cooler and I'm quite happy with it. Plays all my games fine at 1920x1200.
