Top tech CEOs reportedly discuss how to stop Donald Trump at secretive private event

I thought the article was about Trump, not Obama, both Bush's, Reagan, Clinton, Nixon etc.
Now Ronald Reagan, there was a demagogue's demagogue. He told Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall, you know. After which I'm certain, a lot of his campaign contributors expanded their businesses into East Germany.... (y)(n) <<<You make the call...

One good thing which did come out of the Berlin wall coming down, is now German Women's Swim Teams no longer sing baritone....:D

Can't stop someone who is winning. I'm republican... don't really like the guy but ill give him one thing he has ballz. Other then that not a fan, but people are voting for him and hes winning. So I assume we the people are tired of a political person running this country.

Depends on the political person I guess. :) Republicans don't like Trump because he's a) not actually a Republican b) completely under-qualified (didn't stop Obama though) and c) generally nuts. He's been a close friend of the Clinton's his whole life, and if he decides to run as a 3rd party candidate I wouldn't be surprised. It'll guarantee a Clinton victory and Trump will have the POTUS owning him a pile of favors. Hillary's already been breaking rules for friends for decades, so with Hillary backing him Trump very well may be the most powerful businessman in the world.

However, I'm surprised the tech bigwigs are against trump. Sure, he's against Apple's stance in the FBI probe, but a Trump nomination gives Hillary the best chance at winning and silicon valley would most likely have Hillary as their top choice.

But you're not seeing MilwaukeeMike's point. And I agree! We are tired of the way this government is run! We need "nuts" we need a shake up. We need some radical change. Totally why Trump is winning! So, why stop it? Because the rest of the republican candidates are the same typical government which most of us can't stand! They don't want to stop the money and lifetime benefit plan of working for this greedy government! Remember the idea of Government??? Working for the people, not for themselves!

But Trump won't change the way things work. And neither will the Dem's radical candidate, Bernie. The president is only 1/3 of the govt. No bill reaches the president's desk until it gets through the senate, and the senate is full of regular politicians who have to answer to voters. They aren't going to pass Bernie's socialist ideas or Trump's radical ones like deporting illegal aliens. Sure, King Obama has used the executive order to it's fullest extent, but that's not a path to any sort of real change.

'Shake things up' isn't a platform. Calling your opponent a loser isn't going to get people jobs. Remember 'Hope and Change' in 2008? Don't fall for it again.

What did Trump say that was racist?
Do I really need to give you quotes when there are literally hundreds of videos and news articles that have him say the most stupid things you will ever hear? He insulted the mexicans, the afro-americans, the muslims, the chinese and pretty much everybody that isn't white and american.
Hell... his own father is a known member of KKK and Donald Trump is refusing to condemn the KKK like any normal human (not politician, but human)

Did you know that people are chanting "Trump! Trump!" during events as a way to insult non-white people? Yep, he literally became the image of racism in America. Congrats to him.

I'm not from the U.S. but am very aware of the biases that come out of mainstream media and comments by the general public. I can only judge a person by his OWN words and deeds, not second hand. People's political biases and strong emotions get in the way.

I want to clear one thing up. The word "Muslim" denotes a member of a religion NOT a race. Do you understand this? Race does not determine religion and religion does not determine race. One's race, which is unchosen, is the product of biological processes. One's religion, which *is* chosen, is a faith based belief system. It is no more racist to call Islam's prophet Mohamed a power lusting, war mongering child fiddler idolized by the stupid and insane than it is to call Christians gullible hypocrites for not ignoring enough of the teachings of a vain, superstitious pan-handling fantasist, blind to the immorality of the master/slave society in which he lived and who had no interest creating a benevolent and prosperous people, here, on earth.

Good luck floating most of that past anybody with any sense, or at least one semester of sociology. But basically, one's religion is chosen for him or her. I was never asked if, "do you want to be a Lutheran, or would you rather be a Jew"? Or perhaps, Roman Catholicism or Buddhism .might suit you better". "What do you want to believe in, son"? Yeah right.

This is mostly self serving rhetoric. The kind of bull s**t people serve up when trying to shock others or get themselves noticed.

As far as race goes, there are only basically 3, maybe 4. Caucasian, Mongoloid, and Negro.. If Linnaeus had any stones, he would have called them what they are, "sub species", instead of the self aggrandizing twaddle known as "races".

Obama became president to play the system and get rich enough to retire.
That has nothing to do with whether or not Obama shook the system. I don't care why you think Obama became president, even though I agree. You brought up shaking the system, as if it hasn't been shaken.

why don't you understand that "muslim" here is not used just to point towards someone's religion, but for arabs in general regardless of their religion.
why are there so many americans that try to defend that racist and mentally disturbed clown?
watching this from outside... I'm having a very hard time finding any logical reasons why people would vote for that guy. people can't be that stupid or blind...

Participation in the system just like those before isn't shaking it, by shaking the system, I refer to someone that isn't in it for their wallet and won't cave to the deepest pockets whatever the consequence.

Well, I'm from the hood, where every other word out of the car stereos is "n****r". The bucks don't work here, they sell crack and smack from the time a Jewish lad would be making Bar Mitzvah. You should stop by sometime and develop a jones. Then you can preach equality as you hand over your paycheck to the local neighborhood dealers.

Oh, and that disappearing middle class everybody's running their mouths about, why they're out working so we can fund, "equality in schools", which amounts to pumping enough money into inner city schools to fund yet another generation of social entitlement babies. Babies which I might add, whose parents have never paid a dime in taxes, and babies who likely will amount to less than the nothing that their parents are worth.

Trump, Trump, Trump, yay! Now either come down here and find out you haven't a clue what you're talking about or STFU.
You've got an interesting viewpoint, Crank. Romney suffered from a similar viewpoint in the last election, and look what happened to him. As I see it, it was his "life for everyone else is the same as life for me" viewpoint that was his failing. Though there are many "hoods" in the world, all places in the world are not "hoods". Unless one is willing to put themselves in the positions of others including those who one hates, then one can truly never see the world from another's eyes.

To me, Trump will make all the world a "hood" if he can. He will beat up those he thinks are losers or do not side with him. He is already proving himself the ultimate bully, without ever looking into his own soul to see his own failings. So by all means, support him - he will give you more of what you have because he only sees everyone else as the problem.

Speaking as an American, I see it as in part because there are so many who have been sold the American dream, and because of circumstances, have not realized that dream and are angry because of that and jealous of the limited few in America that have managed to realize their dreams. The only recourse that such people see is to lash out at everyone else and blame them for the problems that they are experiencing. Personally, though I do not have an answer, I think the underlying system needs to be changed, but politicians in this country are so busy trying to stay in office that all they can do is blame everyone else for all the problems without seeing their own role in creating the problem, and really working to solve the underlying problem.

I think people in North America are really getting tired of the 'same old' with every successive gov't. No one in Canada predicted the way the provincial and federal oligarchies would get dumped. It seems people are willing to vote now for anyone that promises 'real change' and looks like they will deliver it. How this will pan out is anyone's guess. If it doesn't hopefully next election they will be dumped.

Spare me the "walk a mile in another's shoes", rhetoric. It's been done to death. I know you've never walked in mine. In fact, I'm from someplace which "nice people" either don't go, just stop by to purchase drugs, or roll up the car windows and lock the doors if they come anywhere near it. You're so smart, how do we fix this? Maybe we could double the welfare benefits so some people don't have to not work so hard.

You know, everybody "drinks the Koolaid", we just drink different flavors. The trouble is, you seem to forget which era I'm from. Let me remind you. I'm from the hip era, back when people thought the equal rights amendment was a good idea. I've been around to see it to its fruition, and trust me, it was the worst idea ever.

I'll tell you what kind of BS you techie imbeciles buy into. Tim Cook comes out with his "diversity report", bemoaning the fact his work force doesn't have enough "minority representation". Everybody applauds. "Yay Tim, go Tim, you'll straighten this out for us". When the truth of the matter is, him and his piece of s*** lecherous corporation refuse to pay anywhere near their fair share of taxes, AND he's already got in excess of 100,000 Chinese working for him! Oh baby, baby, if that isn't diversity, I don't wjhat is!

If Trump builds his wall, we're all in big trouble, but not because of not embracing "diversity". It's because you won't have anybody to pick your crops. Americans forgot how, and grew too self important to do those things decades ago. Who is going to feed our useless a**es if we don't have Mexicans in the fields? Certainly not you.

Not toddle along and revel in the "diversity" you already have. That's where you can spend 8 hours in an air conditioned office, (4 hours of which is posting to Facebook, Twitter, and Techspot), then come home to watch same sex couples suck face on the evening news. Oh, and welcome to the "idiocracy", you're part of its vanguard and one of its founding members.

BTW, if the junk food machine is empty at the office, just call an illegal alien to refill it for you....They're the only people who will do such "menial labor". (Well, either them or the mob).

The only thing that comes through in your reply Crank is your anger. As I see it, you are so blinded by it that you cannot see beyond it. You are not that much older than I. If you don't like where you are do something about it, or realize that you could be much worse off than you are. Not everyone will stand down from your bullying tactics. Personally, I feel sorry for you since the end of your nose is as far as you seem to be able to see.

If Trump miraculously gets elected, your clown boy will stick his finger up at you - not save you - just like some elected officials did at the Tea Party that helped elect them. Still, your boy has got his foot squarely in his mouth and continues to insert it further and further each time he speaks especially with his latest rant against Islam yesterday. Aside from the angry people like you who like to blame everyone else and throw temper tantrums like a two-year old because you do not have what you want, no one will vote for your clown boy.

Speaking as one who has realized his dreams, I resent those that want to take some of our lifestyle illegally, I would support anyone that wants to strengthen our borders and force legal entry or none at all.
Have you ever done anything questionable out of desperation? Perhaps those who come here do so at any cost because conditions where they are are intolerable. You've achieved your dreams; others have dreams to.

The US allows legal entry and those that enter ilegally are law breakers, criminals.
I welcome all law abiding immigrants, it is what America is all about.

They voted for Obama and in the eyes of the world, he was a bigger clown in the first election.

Hey man, I don't need your pity. Cut me an extra Social Security check. You seem like you're "middle class",so you can afford it. As for the aberration which is the Trump candidacy, it pretty much shows how fed up people in general with Republican politics as usual, even if you tag some of its practitioners with Hispanic surnames.

I'm not really this stupid. Hillary is going to finally nag her way to the white house. As for my view points, anger is the way others need to feel. I don't feel the need to escape. I'm closing in on the end of days for myself. What I say is the reality check for you, not a temper tantrum. If your reality is all wine and roses, amen. Oddly though, all I hear is a bunch of crap about the "disappearing middle class". If you, or they, can't figure out where their money's going, you have no room whatsoever to call anybody stupid. And that aforementioned middle class is as angry as I am, perhaps more so.

And BTW, all the illegals I run into are the nicest people around. They actually work for their livings. The rest of the neighborhood sits around all day and sells drugs while listening to Kanye West and his ilk all day, while peddling crack. The white race are being punished for slavery in ways you haven't begun to imagine. So cut that that tax check of yours proudly. It's going to subsidize "Obama Care", free clinics, and free diapers for the new majority which is going to breed you out of existence.

Roosevelt's "New Deal", has taken cruel turn. Instead of a "chicken in every pot", it' has metastasized to, "an imbecile in every foreign car, and an iPhone to every ear".

In China, I hear tell if you don't work, you don't eat. Oddly, that's what made this country great, not social programs. Hell, during WW2, our women built thousands upon of aircraft. Now they run their mouths all day on on Chinese phones.

So before you spout a bunch of crap in my direction, why don't you try figuring out what the hell is actually going on?

Hunter S Thompson, AKA "Raoul Duke", would be seriously pissed to the point of violence for you using his handle to support Chump the con man.
Nobody really needs you stripping them of their screen alias, much less your opinion on how they think.

Hillary's "plan", is just an amalgam of the same sh!t every other candidate has sprayed around for decades, even her rival Bernie Sander's opinions and ideas have found their way into it.

As far as Hillary Clinton goes, if elected we'll just get possibly another 8 years of "hooray I'm a women president" the same as the last 8 long years of, "hooray for me, I'm the first black president".

Whatever Trump is, or isn't, at least he's neither of those things.
