Toshiba Excite tablet scrolling

I have new Tosh tablet. when I swipe my finger across the screen it always leaves an irritating blue line showing the path of my swipe. Also, the top of the screen always shows coordinate info in 7 small boxes across the top of the screen. It is like it is in a graphics mode & it came out of the box this way. How do I turn that off please?
