    Hi Board,
This is for Toshiba Satelite Laptop keyboard problem. My son accidentally put water on the keyboard and from then it has started giving problem. Whenever I am hitting any key, it becomes associated with <CTRL>.
That means A becomes CTRL+A and whole text is selected, similarly S opens up the SAVE window etc.
I tried with a external keyboard but the problem persistes.
For some keystrokes on same key, the problem is not coming but for other time it is coming.

Replacing keyboard is one option but I am wondering why external keyboard is not resolving the issue. When I attached USB keyboard with the laptop, the laptop keypad is also working (but not properly).

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Sandip

You will need to dismantle the Laptop (or basically remove the keyboard)
And then confirm the water has not gone onto the Mobo

You can purchase "Circuit Board Cleaner" and clean the internals (and maybe salvage the keyboard as well)
Note: you must also allow the "Circuit Board Cleaner" to dry before re-assembling.
