Toshiba laptop booting problem

Hi All,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A50 laptop. Recently, I have formatted the laptop and installed Windows XP. I am experiencing the following issues:

1. While booting, I get the following message:
PXE - E61 : Media Test Failure, Check Cable
PXE - M0F : Exiting Intel Boot Agent

2. Sometimes, the F10 or F11 key starts glowing because of which the keyboard gets locked. It seems the numeric keypad gets on because of this glowing of the F10 or F11 key. Then, I am not able to type the password and log into Windows XP. However, this problem does not occur regularly.

Can you suggest a remedy for the above two issues. Is there any virus that is causing these problems?

Thanks in advance
Ehsan Ahmed

HardDrive issue

Your internal HardDrive is either not creating a good connection
Or it is slowly dieing

To get it back working
Remove the HardDrive (not sure where, just read the manual)
And then re-insert the HardDrive, making a good connection
Then turn back on

Once Windows starts back up
You should save all user data to external media
And hope it continues to boot the HardDrive
