Toshiba NB205 won't boot

    Have a NB205 3 years old running Windows XP Sp3 . Unit will power up to thru the Toshiba page
    (F2/F12) allows me to go to setup. It will not go beyond this point and I get black screen with blinking cursor. Boot options are HDD, FDD and LAN. I received no recovery disc with the unit.
    This happens in either mode power or battery

    Those are symptoms of problems with the HD, most likely in the partition table. You will need to use the
    restore CD you made when you first used the system.
