Yet another AMD Brazos-based netbook has appeared ahead of the platform's launch, this time from Toshiba. Notebook Italia has the scoop on the company's upcoming entry, which has similar specifications as Acer's Aspire One 522. The NB550D marks the third and most powerful system in Toshiba's NB line, featuring a C-50 Ontario APU, which houses two 1GHz Bobcat processing cores and a Radeon 6250 graphics chip with support for DirectX 11 and hardware-accelerated video decoding.

The system carries a 10.1-inch 1280x768 display, and Notebook Italia notes that most of the remaining design is borrowed from existing NB models. The NB550D has a gig of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB 5400RPM HDD, a VGA webcam, HDMI-out, three USB 2.0 ports (one supports Sleep-and-Charge) as well as 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and Ethernet connectivity. It'll ship with Windows 7 Starter Edition, measures 261.9mm x 189.5mm x 17-35.5mm and weighs 1.32kg. There's no word on pricing yet.

That's probably the best laptop Toshiba has designed, they all usually look crap to me.
