I'm running XP Home on my 3 somewhat year old laptop. The drivers on the keyboard are completely stuffed. When I press backspace all that comes up are "lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll" and some keys like "E" don't even show up when go to type something in notepad. I've uninstalled the driver and restarted my laptop and nothing has changed, I've system restored to the 13th and nothing has happened there either. I can't contact Tech Support through Toshiba because I don't have any warranty left. If anyone could help me fix it without me doing a whole system format that would be great.

Hi

a format wont do much if the keyboard is stuffed.

Get a bootable 98 floppy for example and boot from that and see if the keyboad works outside of the OS, if it doesnt then refer to my first line.

If it does then the fault is with the OS drivers in which case can you plug in an external keyboard, such as a USB one and use that to reload the drivers that way
