Touch Pad and MoGo Mouse Uncontrollable

I recently clean-installed Windows 7 Professional (x64) on my Alienware M17 laptop. Regardless of whether I use the Touchpad or my MoGo mouse (operated wirelessly via Bluetooth), when type anything, the cursor jumps around uncontrolledly. The Device Manager states that "Mice and other pointing devices" are properly operating. I would be greatly appreciative if someone could provide a fix for this problem.

    Thanks so much!

Have you got latest drivers for the touchpad from the pc's manufacturer ?
If nothing else, it would rule out that problem.

Thank you very much. It turned out that I hadn't downloaded and installed the Synaptics Touchpad driver for Windows 7. Thanks again!

No trouble. I have heard of similar problems before. It's because the correct driver for your touchpad is not included in windows, so you have to get it from the manufacturer.
