We need to temporarily disable Spybot search & Destroy`s tea time, as it may interfere with any fix we are trying to run.

Disable Spybot's TeaTimer. This is a two step process.
    First:
    - Right click Spybot in the System Tray (looks like a calendar with a padlock symbol)
    - Choose Exit Spybot S&D Resident
    Second:
    - Open Spybot S&D
    - Click Mode, check Advanced Mode
    - Go To Left Panel, Click Tools, then also in left panel, click Resident
    - If your firewall raises a question, say OK
    - Uncheck the box labeled Resident Tea-Timer and OK any prompts.
    - Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
    - Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.

    1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 from HERE. Save it to your Desktop and extract it.

    2. Download the attached avengerscript.txt and save it to your desktop

Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

    3. Now, start The Avenger program by double clicking on its icon on your desktop.

Under "Script file to execute" choose "Load script from file".
Now click on the folder icon which will open a new window titled "open Script File"
navigate to the file you have just downloaded, click on it and press open
Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
    Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

    4. The Avenger will automatically do the following:

It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

    5. Please attach the content of c:\avenger.txt into your reply, as well as a fresh HJT log.

    Regards Howard :)

The nasty BHO is still there.

Download combofix.exe. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. A window will open with a warning. Type "Y" (and Enter) to start the fix. When the scan completes it will open a text window. Please attach that log back here together with a fresh HJT log. Caution - do not touch your mouse/keyboard until the scan has completed. The scan will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave your desktop disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore the desktop.

Combofix will automatically save the log file to C:\combofix.txt

    Regards Howard :)

You still have not installed a firewall programme, please do so.

It seems your system is infected with some kind of rootkit.

Download the AVG Antirootkit programme. Disconnect from the net and install the programme, then restart your computer.

Run the programme and click the "Perform in-depth search." Allow AVG to complete the scan. The AVG scanner will give the "Rootkit path"
    * Select the Rootkit Driver by placing a checkmark against it and click "Remove selected items." Next, agree for the terms and conditions that is displayed by AVG and click "OK" to reboot the PC. Reconnect to the net.

Then, go HERE and follow the instructions for removing the infection. Try the automatic removal tool first. If that doesn`t help, try the manual removal instructions.

Let me know the results and post a fresh HJT log.

    Regards Howard :)

Please download MWAV scanner from link 6. Save it to Desktop:
    http://www.msspl.co.in/products/mwav/mwav.asp
    Disconnect from the net.

    Run the mwav scanner:
    Put a checkmark in:
Memory, Startup folders, drive, Registry, System folders and Services.
    And:
All local drives og Scan all files
    Push: Scan Button
This scan can take quite a while to run with many applications installed.
If it finds infected files in system restore, a Txt file will popup, close it.
When the scan is completed, allow it to reboot. Otherwise do it manually.
Your system will take longer that normal to restart as mwav scanner will be running. Reconnect to the net.

    Download and install DrWebCureit:
    ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
    http://spywareinfo.dk/download/drweb-cureit.exe

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how HERE.

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE.

Doubleclick the "drweb-cureit.exe" and click "ok" in the prompt window that will open , asking "start the express scan now".
It will first make a quick scan of your system, let it clean what it find, and when it says "done"
    Click on the green screwdriver-
Actions Tab- Adware-Dialers-Riskware-Hacktools, use dropdown menu and select -Delete
Click on the drive(s) you want to scan . A red dot will mark the selected drive(s) . Then hit the green arrow in lower right corner It will now scan your drive(s), say yes to all

After the scan, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
    Close Dr.Web Cureit.

Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot. Rehide your protected OS files.

Attach the DrWeb.csv log as well as a fresh HJT log.

    Regards Howard :)

Since you`re having problems uploading the DrWebCureit log, you can copy and paste it. I`ll remove it once I`m finished with it.

Have HJT fix the 02 file missing entry.

Ok, let`s give the Avenger one last try.

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE.

At least we`re going in the right direction.

Click start/run and type regedit into the run box and press the enter key. When the window appears maximise it. Click file/export and save a copy of your registry to wherever you want.

    Navigate to the subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

In the right pane, delete the value:

    "PendingFileRenameOperations" = "\??\[PATH TO TROJAN]"

Navigate to and delete the subkeys:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{385AB8C6-FB22-4D17-8834-064E2BA0A6F0}
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{385AB8C5-FB22-4D17-8834-064E2BA0A6F0}
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{385AB8C4-FB22-4D17-8834-064E2BA0A6F0}
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{385AB8C6-FB22-4D17-8834-064E2BA0A6F0}

    Close regedit.

Reboot your system, run a new HJT scan and post the log.

    Regards Howard :)
