trouble installing XP

    ok this is one problem i cannot solve for the past 3 days i have tried installing windows xp to my computer but for some reason whe its coping the files to be isntalled there are some files that cannot be copied, so the istalation does not go on 2 thing happen the computer crashes or it gives me an istallation error, dunno what to do tried 3 diffrent new HD, also bought a new copy of XP but its not coping dunno why if any one can give me some tips please...........

    need more specs on your system.

    Does your memory match the brands recommended by your motherboard manual?
    Do you have any unusual setups like RAID hard drives?

    my specs are athlon 64 3200
    abit mother board
    ati video card
    soundblaster auido
    2 wester digital HD
    2g of ram
    on a regular ATX case.
