Trouble updating Nvidia video driver

Whenever I try to play games like Portal 2, Amnesia, batman and other games from bought from steam also games like League of Legends and Planetside 2. I always get a message that pops up that says my Video Driver is out of date. I clicked on the link and went to NVIDIA website and it found the most updated version of my driver and I installed it but everytime I run those games the same popup comes up and when I launch Amnesia it tells me which video driver I am currently using and it still says the first one, how can I change it so it runs the new driver instead of the old one?

When you install your nvidia drivers, be sure to check the " clean install" box during installation.

Should I re install the Driver or can I do something after Installation?

Just install the newest drivers from nvidia and check the box and you should be fine.

What graphics card do you have?, and what driver version are you using?
