Trying to choose between two potential gaming laptops

  1. Hi everyone, I'm looking into one of these two laptops here on Amazon. I plan on using them for gaming as well as other things (school use, bits of encoding related stuff, etc) They have to be purchased via Amazon as I will be paying with a Store Card. Anyway, here they are:

    ASUS N71JQ-X1:

    MSI GX740-235US:

My dilemma is that one has an i7, and the other has an i5 with a better video card and higher resolution. I'm not sure if losing the 2 cores is worth the addition of the better video card.

If there's anything better on the site that I may have overlooked, please let me know. My budget is absolutely no more than $1200.

    Thanks in advance :)
