Trying to get back to 256 colors

Hello all,

I was on E-bay not too long ago and saw a game that I hadn't played in probably 10 years...King's Quest VI. If anyone else played this game I'm sure it was a memorable experience, however, I'm having a bit of trouble. I bought the game and installed it, however, in order for it to run it has to be in 256 colors...period. That's just all there is to it, it seems. Well, my Gainward Nvidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256MB isn't quite letting me. The furthest I can go back is to 16 bit. Does anyone know of a driver that I can use in order to get back to 256 colors in order to play this game?

Have you tried using it with DosBox ?

Yeah, I have tried to use it. Some people have a "compatibility" tab when they right click on the icon, however, I don't get this with my system. Does anyone happen to know of any other way to run it? Thanks so much for helping me out. I really do appreciate it.
