Trying to play Sims 2 and an error says no Directx 9.0c!

    Hello, i need help because i'm trying to play sims2 and a message keeps coming up saying:Failed to find any Directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! it says make sure i have it and have the latest drivers.

    I have lenovo laptop.

    You might be misreading the error message. It's not telling you that you don't have DirectX 9.0c as your title suggests but, rather, you don't have a DX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter. That is, your graphics "card" does not meet the minimum requirements of the game.
