Trying to Reach 60 FPS

  1. Hello:

    I am an avid WoW player, But I am having problems even getting 20 fps in raids. I ually get 50-60 anywhere else, but where it matters. I think if I give you info about my Laptop, maybe someone can help me out.

    ASUSTek Computer Incorporation
    Model: ASUS notebook G50VT Series
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo CPU P7450 @2.13 GHz 2.13 GHz
    Memory: 4.00 GB
    System Type: 64-bit Operating System.

    My video card is NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS

    I think if someone can help me change the settings of my video card, or maybe get a better one, more memory ,etc. Then any help is appreciated.

    have you tried to upgrade your video card driver

    Yes it is currently up to date. Maybe a better sight to find a more updated driver?

    Raids are intense and the most demanding usually, that's why you're seeing your worst performance there. You got 25 players all doing different things (healing, aoeing, etc) and depending on the fight you got adds, movement, even environmental effects. Since you said you updated your drivers try lowering some of WoW's settings. Play around see what works best, turn off vsync if you haven't already. Googling your card shows some nice results in most games so play around with your settings.
