Trying to restore image from backup

Hey all, been a while, I hope all is well.

Installed windows 8 and want to go back to windows 7. I did a full image backup before installing 8.

However, I am having troubles restoring. I uploaded a screenshot of what is on my backup drive.

The WD software that came on the drive (WD Smartware) won't find the image backup, and I am also unable to find a way to do an image restore using the windows 8 backup software.

Any help would be appreciated

Assuming you used the Windows 7 backup tool, you'll have to boot from your Windows 7 installation disk and restore from there. If you used something else, you'll have to contact the software's company for assistance. Hope you manage to restore ok.

I second Penn919. A repair install with your Windows 7 disk is the way to go, and you will get help on the screen.
Also, there is info available by a search on the Microsoft web site.
