My friend in college has a net book and she brings it to class everyday to take notes. It looks so portable and convenient I want one too. Its not too heavy and perfect to put in my backpack. Currently i have like a 10 lb laptop. hope i can change that soon : )

OK, sign me up. I could use this on the road.

The 1.33 GHz clock is a bit too slow for some software; but, it is not too likely that I would use this for those applications anyway, except maybe for music mix and editing on the go. Most of those programs need at least 1.5 G speed to run well. Won't know for sure without trying... I wish they would add an expansion port too enable other possibilities.

I was thinking about this netbook contest at the dog park this morning. I hadn't ever considered how neat it would be to be totally mobile. I think I could get very used to it, about like having my camera around my neck - just in case.

I really really want to win this! My DH bought a new computer about a year ago and ended up giving our older model to our DD just because I couldn't find a desk in the time frame he thought I should have. I got screwed. I'm the only one in the house without a computer and I'm trying to start my own business and need my own computer with WiFi capabilities. All I have to use to access the net in the evenings is my DD's iTouch. I really need to win this. Thanks for such a great giveaway, by the way.

Looks like a great promotion. Count me in!! My wife has an Acer Aspire 1 and loves it. I'll "borrow" if occasionally when I need to check signal strength of a WIFI network because it's so lite.

Comparing to my Asus EeePC, the Acer Aspire One 11.6 sure beats it hands down in the following :

- Screen size (4.6 inches wider than mine)
- Keyboard (full sized)
- Touchpad (wider and with multi-gesture to pinch, flick ad swirl for different purposes)

What more do I need to say about how these 3 abovementioned features will improve my netbook experience?

I'm really excited about this contest. What a way to utilize your review items. Thanks to Acer and of course Tech spot. These little net books can come in real handy if you are a comuting worker and in the air all the time. I took my wife's laptop on a trip once and just got frustrated because of all the room it took. Good luck everyone, you're going to need it. 9 pages of about 20 posts each. At least 180 people have entered, including me. If everyone posts 40 times, that's 7200 posts. 40/7200 means you have less than 1% chance of being the winner. And that's assuming that no one else enters. The odds just get smaller and smaller. Techspot has been my favorite technology news and support website since 2006. I never created my account but I kept on visiting it almost twice a day if not at least once a day. Today I saw that offer of Acer was really interested , winning is big deal but participation is even bigger. Let me get into the subject matter and put on comments eventually and get interacted. So definitely I would like to join the give out contest. By the way, I have never used any Acer laptops, through this I can know more about Acer and its specialties.
