what is the difference with a single tuner or dual tuner for a tv tuner?
One lets you watch or record from one channel, but not at once, dual lets you do both at the same time from different channels.
now with one, can u record one chanel while watching that chanel?
If you mean "with a single tuner card, can I watch and record from the same channel at the same time," I'm not really sure, I haven't used a pc tuner and am just going off of what others have told me. My *guess* is yes, like you can watch a tv channel on your tv and record it on a vcr at the same time, so this *should* be similar. But that is solely a guess.
ya i was assuming that i could, do u know of any good dual ones? im looking at happauge but their dual one is for windows media center edition
The tuner you listed I think is very good.
"Windows®XP Media Center Edition 2005, WindowsXP Home or WindowsXP Professional
Note: when using the WinTV-PVR-500MCE with WindowsXP, you need a third party TV application such as MythTV, SageTV or BeyondTV"
It says xp home + pro too. It's made for mce, but also works on regular xp.
and then ill have to buy one of those programs
I guess so, I don't really know though.
