Ubuntu boot loader failed

  1. Hey everyone,

    I'm new to TechSpot (at least for the forum, long time reader), and was hoping someone could help me with my problem.

    I tried installing Ubuntu onto my computer by manually selecting the partitions (roughly 93 GB for primary and 7 GB for the swap area), and the installation completed fine except for the Boot Loader. For some reason the Boot Loader failed, and it only gave me the options to either: pick a new drive, cancel the installation or ignore it for now. I tried installing on every other possibly drive, but all of them failed.

    Any help would be great, thanks! :)

    P.S. I'm currently running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on a 1 TB hard drive, the Ubuntu takes up 100 GB of the same drive. I also have a 2 TB hard drive in my computer for other stuff.

    not an uncommon problem ...

    Managed to get Ubuntu and the boot loader to work. Sorry about the delay (been busy with work and tennis), thanks for your help everyone.
