Unable to access hard drive

Hi

I am having issues with accessing my Harddrive .Its giving error Unable to access Eue to incorrect parameter
I have already run chkdsk but it did not solve the problem..same error

I have windows xp.Need data from the drive urgently(pdfs and docs)

Please help and guide
