    So I sent this:
    Hello all,

I have a problem with the partition wizard home edition.
I am unable to recover a lost partition.
When in the wizard, after running an advanced full disk scan, you have to select which partition you want to recover.
I select my lost/deleted partition, hit finish, and normally I would now have a pending operation in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Yet with me, that's not the case.
I've tried all sorts of things, but it just will not recover that partition.
It won't give me a pending operation for that partition, for whatever reason.
I hope someone can help me out with this, as it would be nice to still be able to recover that partition.

and in return I got this:

    Lukas:

You should choose all partitions instead of just lost/deleted partition.

    Regards.

    So I sent back:

Already tried that, also no solution to my problem.
Whatever I do, the wizard doesn't seem to recognise my lost partition, while it does do the scans etc.
But when I click finish, whatever I do, it just won't give me a pending operation to try and recover my lost partition.
Whether I choose the lost/deleted partition, the existing one(the other on that disk), or both.
It always does the same thing.
When I hit finish after an advanced full disk scan, it doesn't give me any pending operations, whatever I try.
    Help is required!!

    TIA

    Lukas Peters

    Just so you know!!

    Any news from them.

Nope not since I sent that mail that's in my previous post.
Although I had hoped to have heard something by now.

Here's what I got after explaining the situation:

2010/1/20 MT Solution Customer Support Centre <support@mt-solution.ca>

    Hi:

In this case Partition Wizard could not help because your partition records might damaged. That's why we suggest you use dedicated data recovery software to restore on that partition.

    Regards.

Seems like a different sort of problem or am I seeing this wrong?
  7. Kevork Newcomer, in training

Actually no, what they are saying is that the probleme is to severe for partition wizard to recover.

I would suggest, you request a recommendation of a software from them.
  8. petersluuk Newcomer, in training

    They suggested powerdatarecovery.
Have to see if I can get my hands on that.
You'll hear from me as soon as I know more.

Hmm got a problem with that software.
It has to be installed, which obviously I am not able to.
I think I have some other software on a bootable disk somewhere, do you think I should try that?
I have also asked for an other suggestion from them though.

They're telling me I should attach my HDD to a different PC to try and restore the data using PDR.
Do you think that is the only option I have left?
