Unable to do a Web Search

    A few weeks ago my desktop got infected with a virus and I used malwarebytes and Super Antispyware to get rid of it. However, when I try to open Mozilla Firefox browser with its default ggogle web page, it times out. I opened IE browser with Yahoo as it's default web page and when I typed google in the search and tried searching, it also timed out saying page could not be found. I tried typing in the url www.google.com and get the same result.
    In summary I cannot access google and cannot web search on any browser.
    Could someone please help.
