'undefined' is null or not an object

  1. This is the error I get in Internet Explorer sometimes, and I think it usually looks like this:

    It doesn't keep the page from displaying properly, as far as I can see; it just has a small yellow triangle at the far left of the status bar where the small Internet Explorer icon would be. If I click on the triangle, the error message pops up. I'm running IE 6.

    this is BAD Javascript or Applet code -- implies a very poorly written website.

    OK. I guess it's bad then that I get it whenever I visit certain parts of the w3schools JS tutorial :)

    thx for the reply, just wondered if it was a site problem or something w/IE cuz I get it when visiting different sites, like bleepingcomputer.com.

    yep -- the quality of the page reflects the quality of the site --
    some are just ... oh well ... you know!

    yeah, I'd have to agree with that. Maybe I'll have to advertise my quality web design.
