'undefined' is null or not an object

This is the error I get in Internet Explorer sometimes, and I think it usually looks like this:

Error: 'undefined' is null or not an object

It doesn't keep the page from displaying properly, as far as I can see; it just has a small yellow triangle at the far left of the status bar where the small Internet Explorer icon would be. If I click on the triangle, the error message pops up. I'm running IE 6.

this is BAD Javascript or Applet code -- implies a very poorly written website.

OK. I guess it's bad then that I get it whenever I visit certain parts of the w3schools JS tutorial

thx for the reply, just wondered if it was a site problem or something w/IE cuz I get it when visiting different sites, like bleepingcomputer.com.

some are just ... oh well ... you know!

yeah, I'd have to agree with that. Maybe I'll have to advertise my quality web design.
