My Dell Inspiror 1200 crashed a few days ago. I had to restart my computer and I got the blue screen of death. The error that came up was "Unmountable_Boot_Volume" I have researched this since I recived the error and cannot find a solution. The problem is that I do not have a windows xp startup disk, and I also cannot not create one from floppies because my laptop does not have a floppy drive. What do I do? Anybody PLEASE?

Normally I would say that running chkdsk /r would resolve your problem but you need a Windows XP disc to get into the recovery module. If you try safe mode, before it boots into windows does it give you an option to choose Windows XP or a recovey mode?

Sorry forgot the mention that, no safe mode does not work. I get the same error message.

Also, I do not have an option to go into recovery mode.
