Updated problem with startup

My SATA optical drive arrived today so I decided to boot using my new mobo.

After the Windows XP logo there's a very short BSOD, and then the system reboots. If I try to boot normally, it will do the same thing. If I try to boot via safe mode, it stops after loading a bunch of drivers, and asks if I want to skip loading sptd.sys or not. Regardless of if I skip it or not, the system reboots and same loop occurs.

    Thoughts?

    Now running (if it matters)

    i5 2500K CPU
    Gskill Ripjaws 1600 DDR3 memory
    RAIDMAX RX-700AC PSU

Sounds like the hard drive is bad or corrupt
