Upgrading desktop, need help

Here is what i want to do..
Be able to play battlefield bad company 2..cant a man just play a game without lagg? please tell me what i need to upgrade on my comp and keep it within 300-400 bucks..if possible... give it to me straight.

Dimension Xps
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20GHz 3.19GHz
2.75 GB of RAM
150GB HARD DRIVE
WINDOWS XP
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 256MB

anything i need to tell>?

I would say that a new graphics card and processor are in order.

What is the exact model of your Dimension XPS? Or what chipset do you have?

^I would agree with that... P4 and 6 series nvidia cards are quite outdated for gaming now...

Download CPU-Z to find your chipset.
