Upgrading from Socket 478 to AM3, what can I keep?

Look im quite on a budget atm and im just wondering what else do I need for the system that I need for the new system since my old system is still a socket 478 im switching to a phenom

what can I reuse from my old system this is an old Socket 478 motherboard p4S800-mx

and what will I need leftover to run the new system

  • ATX case and power supply (ATX power supply with 4-pin P4 connector)
  • two IDE drive (there is only one IDE channel for master and slave)
  • two Floppy drives (this board still has a floppy connector)
  • two PCI cards
  • PS2 Keyboard and Mouse
  • VGA monitor
and what will I need leftover to run the new system
My only question is if the OS is transferable to a new motherboard. Would you be able to activate your copy of Windows? This however would be a non issue if you use Linux.
 
Ty for the information and I do have a transferable OS ive got acopy of the windows 7 and Xp

I wont be using linux cause of the lack of drivers which my cousin doesnt complain about it tho finds it a pain in the butt to find them but since in last november steam was let open for linux hes now more then enjoying that OS
