Upgrading my 8800GTX, worth it?

Hello all,

I have a 8800GTX and a decent spec pc to match (so there aren't any substantial bottlenecks) but I've recently bought a 1920x1200 monitor, so my games are running a bit slower than they used to...

I've heard CF and SLI are best for higher resolutions, my MB supports CF but not SLI.

Is the 4870 worth it? Or am I going to have to pay a lot to see a reasonable gain?

A single HD 4870 will give you good performance at that resolution. For more power, the GTX 280 is the next best choice.
