what are the steps involved in upgrading server 2000 to 2003. i know you have to choose between per server and per seat license. after you done the upgrade, do you assume that all the domain controllers and group policy and permission in 2000 is also upgraded to 2003 or do you have to use a tool(robocopying) to transfer them into 2003

if anyone could outline the steps for me, that would be great.. thanks

1: Go to the Microsoft website.
2: Read the documentation on upgrading to 2003

Or if you think that only wusses Read The Friedly Manual, just pop in the 2003 CD and choose to upgrade. All settings, users, etc will carry over of course. The installer will tell you about any drivers/software that is a problem.
