    If a board supports USB 2.0, is it generally compatible downward to USBV 1,0 etc.?

    They make it so USB devices such as USB2.0 are backwards compatible ;)

    That wouldn't be very good if it wasn't backwards compatible, because then if people upgraded their systems to 2.0 and they have 1.0 or 1.1 devices, they couldn't use them.
