hello
i forgot my password to my windows xp Pro account, this has happend to me before using a different computer that had a floppy disk drive. i got a new one and would like to get the password to it. i used Login recovery to get my password using the floppy. my computer does not contain the floppy drive but is able to boot from a USB drive.

i would like to know if it is possible to change the files and make it boot from the USB instead of the Floppy?(there is also a cd version but all that has is a readme.txt file inside)

thanx

yes it is possible to boot xp from a flash drive, provided you have 2 things:

1. a big enough drive - 5gb or more.
2. You are able to set from BIOS boot from flash drive first.

3. bear in mind, flash drives are notorious for failures and are unreliable. that is the very nature of STATIC ram.

i know that it can run usb of 2gb but have been trying to get some files that can only be used with a floppy disk. since i dont have a floppy drive i can only use a usb drive which i do have.
