USB drive needs to be formatted?

I have a USB Verbatim store n go that was working perfectly until yesterday. I safely removed it from the desktop. When I replugged it a message says that the device need formatting. I have important data and need to recover it. Any solutions

Sounds like the partition info or FAT (file allocation table) has got corrupted. you'll need special software to "read" the missing partition info. try the following:
