USB drive recognized on laptop but not desktop

just checking... did you also see/try the link i had in my last post about registry permissions for Access Denied during USB Driver Installation?

Yea I had a look but im a little unsure about how to go about doing that...Is it just right click> properties> then secuirty settings altered to allow my system?

Im not sure about registry keys or where do I go?

Ahhh disregard my last post,im just bein a lazy ***** and sleepy! Just typed run regedit and it came up... :/

Depending on the make of your computer, you may get a prompt at startup to repair or reinstall your operating system. Sometimes, its just F8 at post and then choose repair option. Dell restore partition is available by holding F11 and Ctrl at the same time for example. You can google your make and model to see how to access yours.

When you check the Permissions on USBSTOR this is what you should see when you select either SYSTEM or Administrators. Note that for both SYSTEM and Admin that Full Control and Read boxes are checked. Other boxes are not checked)
