USB driver not working Gateway NV55S02u

    Hello, I purchased my Gateway NV55S02u laptop about 8 months ago and I have been busy and never really tried to resolve this problem. One out of three of my USB drive functions normally. Is it possible to scan my laptop and post a log with hijackthis or something? I suspect that it might be a hardware problem but I don't want to jump the gun.

    Hmm; sounds more like a bad/corrupt USB driver.

    a) get to the Device Manager
    b) expand [+] Universal Serial Bus controllers

    look for yellow or red markers, particularly on the USB Enhanced Host Controller(s)

    Hey jobeard, I followed your instructions but nothing showed up in yellow or red. When I tried to update the drivers it tells me that they are currently up to date and are functioning normally
