    Windows XP Home SP2

My system stopped recognizing my Canon Powershot75 when I plug it into USB
port - I tried using a card reader and the system didn't recognize that either.

I think the USB drivers in System32/Drivers must have been corrupted and want
to use my XP Disc to replace the System32 Drivers with those on the XP installation
disk - but am not sure how to do it - The XP disc has the drivers in a '.cab' file.

    Can anyone give some insight?

    Many thanks

    Michael

Have you tried uninstalling all the usb drivers and refreshing in device manager ?
