USB & PS/2 Adapters on PS/2 KVM Switches - Any Luck on Reliable Choices?

I have an older but very useful 8-port KVM switch. It only handles PS/2 mouse and keyboard inputs. Many of the newer MB's out there have that "combo" port. My KVM does not seem to like the USB to dual Mouse/KB PS/2 adapters.

Anyone have any luck with a specific adapter strategy for MB's that must have at least the keyboard OR the mouse be USB, and getting some of the older KVM's to like them? I am thinking an individual, rather than dual, PS/2 to USB adapter for the KB or Mouse and then the other one in the single PS/2 port.

I know it's not the adapter, because if I hook a seperate KB and Mouse to it, it's fine. It's just the KVM switch that does not like the arrangement at all.

    Thanks for any help.
