USB wireless issue

  1. Hi gang. My usb modem HAS to be unplugged then plugged in for it to work?
    Even if PC is off when I do this it will automatically start/connect when windows(7) loads and will work normally. If I don't do this I can not get it to work?
    'device mngr' shows it as an 'unknown device'?
    I have reinstalled it to no avail.

    Are you talking about a modem or a usb network adapter?

    A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. You must apply this hotfix after restart your computer.
