Use digital camcorder as webcam

Good morning everyone,
Please bear with me on this, because I really don't know much about this stuff. What I'm looking to do, is to be able to connect a digital camcorder to my computer and use it as a webcam. I use to use an ATI ALL IN WONDER 9200 in an older HP desktop I had. I use to be able to use it as a webcam as well as watch TV on my computer.

I now when out and bought a new HPE-F210 that has an ATI Radeon HD 5450 installed in it and would like to be able to do the same thing. Can you please recommend what type of card I should go get to replace the ATI Radeon HD 5450 that is installed in my new computer?

If the camcorder has Firewire, a standard Firewire cable should do the trick, assuming your PC has a FIrewire input.

If the camcorder does not, you'll want a video capture card. Some are listed here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...49972&IsNodeId=1&name=Video Capture & Editing

I don't have any experience with any of those particular models, but I have an older Pinnacle that does the trick for me.
