I've got a Net-A-USB114 1.1 self powered 4 port hub that is schizoid! The only way I can get it to work at all is to plug it in right after a clean startup, not a restart. It will work just fine until I power the 'puter down. When I boot back up, no hub is recognized. I have tried everything but pouring booze in the darn thing but nothing works. Any ideas?

Take it back to the shop for an RMA?

I got a Belkin not self powered 4 port USB hub that does more or less the same thing. (Except for the fact that it only works once per day or so)
Only thing to do is to RMA and see if the new one works... If it doesn't, try to get your money back...

Thnx Mr. Garibaldi. I have diagnosed the problem & concluded that the hub needs a shot. 12 gauge 00buck at 4 ft. should do the trick!! Thank you again for the tip.

    Hehehe...

Only too bad I couldn't help you fix the problem without the hassle of a RMA or a shot...
