Using Office Premium 2000 in Vista x64.
    Already installed SR-1a & SP-3.

There's a Office File Converter Pack (OCONVPCK.EXE) applicable to Office 2000, to allow opening / saving files in formats from Word 97 and Office 2003.

Another pack, MS Office Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 also allows Office 2K, 2003 to use files saved in Office 2007 format.

Read requirements for both & believe I met them all.
Researched MS support extensively & saw nothing saying these 2 packs can't be installed at same time. AFAIK, their functions don't overlap.

Installed the File Converter Pack for Office '03 first - went OK.
Tried to install the 2007 Compatibility Pack next & gave error message:
Anyone tried installing both of these in Office 2K?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
I have the latest Open Office. Unless they have another plugin I missed, AFAIK OOo won't save in Word '07 format. It may open many / most files in Word '07 format - don't see selection to save in that format.

I did get this issue resolved by *ultimately* manually uninstalling the Office '03 pack then installing the 2007 pack. Auto uninstall didn't uninstall anything that I could tell.

save in 07 format? No, but it can read it. and office is backwards compatible.
