Hello,

I create a new Outlook 2003 profile, complete the data for the ISP e-mail and then start Outlook using the new profile. The 10 days of saved e-mails at the ISP download. These are duplicates and not a problem.

My old PST was named Outlook1. I also have a new PST named Outlook which I guess was created with the new profile.

I want to use Outlook1 as my only PST or I want to move all of the data from Outlook1 into the new PST named Outlook. What is the best procedure to accomplish this?

I'll save your answer so I don't have to ask again.

Thank you

Hi

in outlook open the new outlook pst1 file using file> open> outlook data file.

once opened copy the emails from the old pst file across into the new one.

or

if the new one has nothing of any value in it, just copy the old pst file over the new pst file using explorer

or

open the old one as above, copy the new emails into the old pst file then do the above.

doing any of the above will cause outlook to moan about delivery locations having changed and shortcuts will need redoing etc.

i regularly restore my laptop from a ghost image before i do i backup my mail pst file onto a cd and then just copy it back once ive restored the image.
