Using programs with dual monitors

I am new to the dual monitor thing and have a question about using seperate programs on each monitor.

Can you have one website on your left monitor and have another completely different website on your right monitor at the same time? My left monitor has all the icons and my right monitor has nothing but the screen saver. If I drag an Icon over to the right screen and then click to open it, it just opens on my left screen which is set as the primary.

Help!!

You can always drag one browser window to the other monitor..

Your browser has to support multiple monitors to have this done automatically.

Hang on.... does your desktop actually spread onto both monitors ???

Remeber you needed to go into Windows display properties and there is an option to extend your monitor onto the additional screen.... does it have this ticked??

Yes I have the box checked. I am using internet explorer and cant seem to drag it over to the other screen. I can move regular programs and outlook express over to the other side, but not my internet screens. I really want to surf different sites on both monitors.
