hi guys, i need some advice. i have a great documentary i taped(yes, DOCUMENTARY;) ) and i really want to save the tape onto my hard-drive. how do i do this. i guess because i don't have a tv-tuner card, that my only hope is that i have something like s-video in connection at the back of my card? please, i would really like to figure this out. PS, i dont want to use a camcorder, strictly my VCR tape player. thanks for your time :)

Unless your video player puts out S-Video, you will *have* to get a TV tuner card or a big mess of convertor cables.

so, my VCR video player, must have an S-video OUT? but does that mean if it does have it, i just put the S-video leads into my VCR and into the back of my video-card? does my video-card need to have S-video IN? i have a radeon pr09800. thanks, i really am new to this, and i want to learn! :p thanks for help

Yes - unless you want to get a dedicated capture card.
