Video card

im new here and i could use some help

my laptop recently died. i was running on xp. my friend did a clean install with the windows 7 and now it seems as though its not wanting to recognize my video card.
the video card is the one that came with the laptop. the laptop is a vostro 1500.
if anyone can help that would be great

Many older laptops and desktop PC's can't run Windows 7 yet. It has not been released in its retail version. If a computer can run Vista, it can most likely run Windows 7. Have your friend reinstall XP for you
