i have a problem with playing video files (.avi) using any player (vlc, wmp) I just bought a new computer which has the following video specs - NVIDIA Geforce 7100 card which is a part of the motherboard In addition to this i have a Compro E700 TV card installed. The output is to a plasma tv via an hdmi cable. The problem: I am able to get digital tv thru the tuner just fine When i play any sort of video file in normal players like vlc or media player i can only see the top 1 inch of the video. The rest of it is blanked out. The audio is working fine when the file plays. When i play the video, if i try and make the screen 1/4th size, i manage to get the video feed. If i make it full screen, then there's only audio and 7% video at the top. Everything else is blanked. What i have done so far: I'm updated the drivers for the geforce 7100 to the latest available version (dec 07) I've downloaded and installed the most recent divx codecs. I'm stumped, i have no clue why this is happening. The only logical reason that i see here is that its got to be something to do with the video card. There definitly is no issue with divx codecs as i do manage to get video with the screen at a smaller size. Any suggestions?
